Hub Hospice Palliative Care is seeking expressions of interest from the community to fill vacancies on its Board of Directors.
Committed to maintaining a highly functioning Board with a diverse set of skills and experiences, potential Hub Hospice directors may have an interest in the hospice palliative care movement, the healthcare sector and/or not-for-profit governance. The ability to provide strategic leadership and help manage the affairs of the organization to further the Mission & Values is essential.
At Hub Hospice, we believe that palliative support of those dying, and their caregivers, is an integral part of a healthy community life. We hope you will consider joining our highly talented and dedicated volunteer Board of Directors and help us ensure that individuals and their caregivers are well supported through the end-of-life experience.

After we receive your completed application, our nomination committee may invite you for an interview. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Should you be interviewed, we may recommend to the board of directors consideration for a director position. Once the board approves the nomination, you will be invited to an orientation with the Executive Director, access to our SharePoint website, and a criminal reference check will be completed.
Our expectations of all board members are as follows:
- Attend all board meetings (first Thursday of the month)
- Read all board meeting materials and be prepared to discuss them at the meeting
- Participate at events or on board committees as applicable
- Be a goodwill ambassador for the organization
- Work to forward our strategic plan and build on our strengths
